Man Working

Software Engineer - App Development

At Ugglo we know reading changes lives. Every week we get feedback like this from teachers all over Sweden: "Ugglo has created a joy of reading"; "I couldn't believe my eyes when I say all pupils deeply sunk into their books"; "Even my most challenging pupils have started reading... also on their spare time!". This makes us proud and motivated to make Ugglo even better, but we can't do it all by ourselves. Are you the person to help us in our mission to make reading and learning fun for everyone? If so, apply to become part of our growing team in Stockholm.

Our next challenge

Over 100,000 monthly active users from all over Sweden put their trust in our web and mobile apps. We need to take care of them, listen to their feedback and make sure we meet their expectations. It also means the stuff we do has real impact. We are now looking for an iOS engineer to help us steer into the future.

  • Actively spread technical know-how throughout the team

  • Drive features and development of parts of the stack

What we are looking for

  • Several years experience working with iOS development and Swift

  • Understanding of modern IT architecture and system design and how to apply them to build scalable solutions

  • Comfortable working with tools surrounding the native app ecosystem; release management etc.

  • A curious-minded team player with a get things-done attitude

  • English professional working proficiency (Swedish is not a requirement)

What's in it for you

  • Passionate and engaged colleagues that truly care for each other

  • An opportunity to really make a difference for thousands of teachers and children

  • An office space in central Stockholm

  • A friendly and fast paced culture

  • Flexible working hours

  • Stock options

  • Benefits for your well-being
